Q: I have a 'white on white' problem with my iPad Air and Apple Support Communities

I cannot use my iPad Air on the Apple Support Communities. Within the discussion part (where I am now) it advances as if I was using the 'Space' bar to advance. And I cannot go any further because it claims I have no details to my question.

iPad Air Wi-Fi, Cellular, iOS 10.0.2

You are NOT showing us what YOU SEE when this "white on white" (WoW) occurs

All we now know is that you have typed nonsense and that it posts OK.

What did you SEE when typing it? WoW?

The same as you first described? WoW?

Dis you see the "spelling" prompt that I showed with screenshots?

Methinks the problem was solved. It was one if those post-update gremlins I mentioned a while back. Safari private mode, Mute, and restrictions sometimes get turned on during an update.

If not, I am sure we will hear from DizzyM

I will test with a New Question. See if THAT works now. Will mention 'Only a test' in the header. (I'm old school in English Comp. respects)

Sorry for the delay in answering. Usually when you see that message you have been logged out even though it says you're in. Try refreshing the page. Log in if necessary. Then for your test question put in the title only the word Test.  In the body of the question put, Only a test. Let us know the results. If you get the same message it's time to let a host have a look at the problem.

From what I see, the original issue is indeed resolved by flipping the switch on Private browsing

HERE's why Private does NOT work right on ASC - AND - why it is unnecessary with ASC

    ASC runs on JiveSoftware.

    Jive is a "javascript" application.

It runs practically entirely on your device - called "client-side computing"

Although I cannot explain WHY the text appeared as white on a white background, it follows that ...

MANY of the "communications" that occur between your iPad and Apple's ASC server would NOT happen because it also uses "cookies" for a lot of things - one being your LoggedInState - Private prevents "tracking" which includes storing and updating the content of cookies

    WHY not Private?

That is ALL that ASC is about, tracking what you do and what you want.
