Offline not showing last location but less than 24 hours
my iphone 7 battery is dead and find my iPhone says device is offline but will not show last location even though phone it's been less than 24 hours since it's been online
This seems to be the default behavior but it's hard to fathom why.
That is, there is the caveat in tiny print in the Apple Support Note:
"If your device is offline or can't connect to Find My iPhone for more than 24 hours, you won't be able to see the last known location."
The word "or" means that if your iPhone battery is dead, you cannot
see the last known location. But shouldn't the right idea be that one is
able to consult a map even if the phone is dead? So I second the question.
