Can i charge my iwatch through macbook usb port ?
DUmb question but curious , how would it effect battery life ?

Yes - you can charge Apple Watch by connecting the Magnetic Charging Cable to the USB port on a computer.
It will not affect battery life.
When charging, ensure that the computer remains turned on and awake and that the cable is plugged directly into the computer (not into, for example, an external keyboard).
