Q: Printer Driver Compatibility Issue

Can someone guide / help for Canon LBP 2900 Printer driver.  My Mac was upgraded with the new Sierra (10.12) OS recently and the printer is not working.   Appreciate if anyone else has tried and installed a suitable driver.....

What error do you get when trying to print?

Have you went to Canon's support site? You likely need updated drivers but they may not be available yet or even in the future

FWIW, if an older driver exists on the Canon site, it may work.

I have an Canon i9900 printer which serves me quite well but had

support for it in OS X quite some time ago.  All I did was to get

the 10.6.x installer from the Canon site ad ran it and the printer

works just fine with all my apps, except Photoshop.

The issue with Photoshop is that the Photoshop group simply thinks

they know better than manufacturers or OS developers (Windows also has

issues, more so than Mac) as to how external devices should work.

Therefore, every OS upgrade breaks their software in one form or another

(Lightroom which is obviously a totally separate group prints just fine).
