iOS10 Bluetooth not pairing with UConnect

I can't get my iPhone or any iPhone running iOS 10 to pair via Bluetooth with my Jeep and the UConnect system. My iPhone 6 after being updated to iOS 10 connected to the UConnect system as it always had. I recently upgraded to the iPhone 7 and now I can't get my new phone to pair with the car. I've tried connecting other iPhones in the house running iOS 10 that were never originally paired with the Jeep as well and they all get the same error message "Pairing Unsuccessful - Make sure "Uconnect" is turned on, in range, and it ready to pair". The iPhone sees the Uconnect as a Bluetooth connection but does not pair. UConnect system is running their most updated version of the firmware 16.16.13. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try this-

On the IPhone goto:

Settings-->Bluetooth-->UConnect and touch (i) -----> Forget this Device.

Turn Bluetooth OFF & ON --> then select "Uconnect" follow direction on screen.

After two days at the dealership it has been concluded that uconnect radios are not compatable with the new apple operating system. Told to wait until uconnect fixes the problem. Was also told by a friend that apple may try to fix by becoming more compatable with uconnect. Long live the auxiliary chord.

I was told by one agent. Can’t remember if it was jeep or uconnect “not” to update my iPhone because 1. It turns my iPhone se into an iPhone 8. 2. I was also told that unconnect can’t keep up with apples updates. 3. Also told it’s apple that can’t get it right. I’ve spent countless hours on the phone & at dealerships trying to get the Bluetooth to work. Very disappointed. I’ve had a jambox blue tooth speaker for 10 years. Never a problem pairing. Why they made it so complicated I’ll never know.

Husband has a new 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee which he had paired his iPhone X to. After downloading an update for uconnect his iPhone Xwouldn’t pair Until I followed the instructions above. It worked.
