Is there a way to lock certain Apps on my phone with a passcode?
I know that Androids can do it, (look at Applock for example).
Does iOS support any way to lock individual apps as well?

It is up to the App developer. There isn't a way for you to password or passcode protect an app unless that capability was included by the developer.
One thing I used to do involved Restrictions.
There are no kids using my phone, so I did not need to use Restrictions for parental control.
But I turned on Restrictions and then turned off Game Center to stop it's constant nagging.
So: look and see if the particular thing you want to lock is listed under Restrictions.
Go to the app's page in the App Store and look for the developer information. Then either go to their website or send them an email and make the suggestion. Explain why you think it might be a good thing for them.

You are certainly free to contact them and make the suggestion. Whether or not they decide to add the feature is up to them.
