Q: Bootcamp wont boot to Windows after resize partition

I've been using osX (now macOS) and Windows 10 on my computer for several years.  A few days ago I went to Disk Utility to create a new partition. The new partition took space from macOS and none from the Windows 10 partition. But when I hold down alt option key during startup I no longer have the option to boot to windows. If you can help me, thanks in advance.

    I have no idea why it put my post in desktops,macbook. I've tried changing it.  I use a macbook pro

    You hosed up the WIndows partition. The only way to work with the windows partition is using the BootCamp utilities, not with macOS disk utility or Windows.

    I suspect yo need to reinstall Windows/bootcamp.

    The only option boot camp assistant seems to give me is to erase the windows partition. I might do that, because I don't like Windows and there doesn't seem to be a better time than now to get rid of it. I can still access all of my files from the windows partition so I'm just going to back them up to a USB drive and then erase windows.... Unless anyone has a fix.

    Please post the output of

     

    diskutil list

    diskutil cs list

    sudo fdisk /dev/disk0

     

    Did Disk Utility warn you about issues with Windows if you partitioned the disk? This is from Mavericks.
