The -"Hey Siri" toggle switch on my iphone 7 settings isnt even highlighted as an option to use...thoughts?

I went into my setting to turn on Hey Siri....Siri is on and so is "access on Lock Screen"...but below that "allow "hey siri" isnt even an option to use????? Completely grayed out...anyone have any ideas?

iPhone 7, iOS 10.0.2

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Community! I understand you're not able to turn on the 'Hey Siri' option on your iPhone 7. I like the convenience of being able to use Hey Siri on my iPhone, so I'm happy to offer some direction here.

I recommend to start with looking at the general troubleshooting in the section of the article below labeled 'Get Help'. There are some useful steps that can help with Siri.
Use Siri on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you're still not able to turn on the Hey Siri function after going over those steps, you may need to check your restrictions. You can go to Settings > General > Restrictions and make sure that Siri is not being restricted in some way.

The last step that I recommend if neither of those articles do the trick for you, would be to reset all settings. This will not erase any of your personal data, but you may want to back up your iPhone before resetting. How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch .

What Reset All Settings will reset: Date & Time, Background App Refresh, Sounds, Display & Brightness, Wallpaper, Touch ID & Passcode, deregisters iMessage, resets restrictions, removes Apple Pay cards, resets your Wi-Fi network preferences. You'll need your Wi-Fi password in order to reconnect. To reset you can go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

After the phone restarts, you'll need to set those preferences back up and test out your Siri settings.
