Cannot pair with Jabra Sport Pace

Hi all, I can't connect my Jabra headphones with my iwatch series 2. I put the headphones on pairing mode, I open 'bluetooth' in my watch and I can see the device listed, but when I choose them, after a couple of seconds I get this message on the watch 'Make sure "Jabra SPORT PACE v.1.31.0" is turned on, in range, and is ready to pair' and then I tap OK and go back to the Bluetooth screen and the device says 'Not Paired'. I tried many times but it is always the same.

The headphones are working fine. I can connect them to my iPhone and they work perfectly, so the problem must be something else. Please help. Thanks!

Great work around. This should NOT be the solution!

This has been ongoing since WatchOS 3.1.2/3 - which is exactly when the AirPods were launched. This is making me believe Apple is forcing priority connection to AirPod's even thought they've never been used, and affecting connectivity and reliability of connectivity with 3rd party headsets as if to alure people to purchase Apple made headphones (AirPod's or Beats brand).

Hi

The following steps may help:

Unpair your earphones from your iPhone or any other device that they may already be paired with.

Restart your Apple Watch:

Check that you are following both the manufacturer's pairing instructions for your earphones and Apple's instructions:

Try moving your watch and earphones to a different location, further away from any other active Bluetooth devices.

Same issue here with the Jabra Sport Pace (v1.33.0) The watch detects the Jabra Sport Pace, but the pairing is not taking place. The Jabra Sport Pace keeps telling me to turn on a phone (..) and the Apple watch asks me to make sure the device is on and in reach...

The trick is - like posted before - to decouple the Jabra Pace from the phone and to restart your Apple Watch
