Q: Can't install Windows 10 on Bootcamp partition

#1

Hello!

I've just tried to install Windows 10 on my Macbook with a 32GB USB using Bootcamp. Everything was fine until I came to the part where I need to pick the partition where I want to install my Windows 10 and of course I've picked the Bootcamp partition but actually I couldn't click on "next" (I was so dumb and didn't formate it).
So I just formatted the Bootcamp partition and when I tried to click on "next" it just told me "We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one". I went through google and searched everything about this problem and there are a lot of guys having almost the same or exactly the same "error" when trying to install Windows 10 on the Bootcamp partition but nothing actually helped me. I've already removed everything except my USB and someone told me I should only have 4 or less partitions.
It shows me 4 partition but there are two partition (3) and two partition (1).
Is that a problem?
Here's a pic of my diskutil list: https://i.gyazo.com/f554fb8aac609c2420f55f9696fa06a6.png

Since english isn't my native language I'm sorry for my bad spelling.
I hope anyone may help me installing Windows 10 with Bootcamp!

Thanks a lot! :)

Your 1TB disk is no longer CS. The 45GB partition for Windows is too small. Please run

    diskutil repairDisk disk0

    and post the output.

System Integrity Protection? I didn't enabled it but I've also not disabled it so if it's automatically enabled it's not disabled haha

Unless you want to spend time analyzing this and repairing the current CS, I suggest you erase both disks, re-install OS X and Windows on the SSD and then rebuild the CS volume. 45Gb is too small for Windows. You will be better off if you split the SSD in half for OS X and Windows.

That sounds wise. Since I don't have that much isntalled on both macOS and Windows it's not really a problem.

I mainly installed Windows for 1-2 games and also installed virtual box for my working stuff on macOS. But you're right that 45GB might be too small, especially when I want to install more than 1-2 small games.

After isntalling both.. when I want to do the Fusion drive again.. do I just need the command to "addDisk" and as second the command "resizeVolume" and I'm good to go?

Is there any difference to the other Fusion drive creating before installing macOS?

    Yes.

    No.

If you want to removeDisk, do it only in Internet Recovery.

I didn't see my SSD where macOS was installed in disk utility via normal Recovery (cmd+R).

So I went to the Internet Recovery and erased my SSD and HDD. Now I can't go into normal recovery to install El Captin.. when I press "cmd+R" I'm also coming into Internet Recovery and I'm only able to install macOS Lion.

If you erased your SSD, you also erased your Local Recovery (Recovery HD). Install Lion and upgrade to Sierra.

    Alright, everything is working fine!

Is it possible to change the "fn" and "control" key on Windows with bootcamp?

Unless you program a key macro, or change your keyboard layout, there is no other method of changing it.
