Oct 3, 2016 5:45 PM in response to avvalenteby Bob Timmons,The amber light is blinking because the AirPort routers have a message for you. To find out what it might be.......
Open AirPort Utility on your Mac (Finder > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility)
Click on the picture of one of your Apple routers
In the smaller window that appears, check to see if an Update button is visible. If it is, then a firmware update is available for your router. Click on Update to start the process if you want to update the firmware.
If an Update button does not appear, then look for a listing for Status, and click on the small amber dot there. Another window will open with details about why the router is complaining, along with a suggested action to fix the issue.
Once you have one AirPort "fixed", follow the same steps to fix the other router.
