mac sierra startup progress hanging needs help

Have a mid 2012 15 inch macbook pro retina



Updated to mac os sierra last week

Then i started having startup progess issues initially i w2as able to startup using command r recovery tool

But after 2 shutdowns it started happening again this time not even recovery safe mode or resetting nvram works


I use startup verbose mode and attached pictures where the verbose txt hangs maybe thiz would help

Is there anything i can still do short of sending it to repair center

- Try resetting the SMC and NVRAM/PRAM

- Try booting to Internet Recovery

holding down Option-Command-R to start up from macOS Internet Recovery*

And repairing the startup disk.

- If it is repairable reinstall the OSX

- If you do not have a backup use disk utility to restore the internal disk to an external disk so you can try to recover data.

Then format the startup disk and do a fresh install of OSX

Aslo mine macbook pro retina (late 2012) was hanging at start-up. I also had to follow the process described by IIlaas. I was able to enter the recovery mode (option-command-R) and there I saw with the disk recovery tool that there was something wrong with the SSD. Could only solve it by erasing the drive and reinstall an mac Os or reinstalling an old backup. I switched back to El capitain. I will wait a few releases to switch back to Sierra....
