iCloud cannot connect to internet on PC

Windows 10 did an update a few days ago and booted all my iCloud accounts from Outlook. I've been having trouble logging back into iCloud so deleted the app and reinstalled. Upon login, I get an error message: "Not connected to the internet. Please check your internet connection. iCloud will go online automatically when it detects that an internet connection is available."

I can log into my account from the web. I've checked all the security settings and nothing should be blocking iCloud from accessing the internet. My browser is working. I've rebooted my router.

Any ideas how to get this working? Was perfect before the auto-update (thanks, Microsoft...)

Thank you.

Hi,

I had the same problem with icloud under Win10 Bootcamp. After I temporarily switched off the Avira Antivirus and the Windows Firewall I could log in to icloud with any errormessage! And it keeps working after I switched on Antivirus and Firewall again! Maybe it wil help someone too!

Hello all on Apple Support Communities,

I was recently upgraded to Windows 10 and installed iCloud for Windows and was errror founding that no Internet connection when Windows says it is connected to Internet while it is correct Apple ID and password to login that ID inputting. When I put the third party app password, it says wrong. Usually when it is correct inppputed the ID and password, iCloud should brings me to main course. Or if there is two-step verification is enabled, it requires me veri-code and must be inputed correctly by SMS, if this is first party app. Or input app pwd if it is a third party app. I also reviewed in Windows 10 log and no logs generated. How can I do with it??

I hope you receive more professional support than I did. Their senior team took more than a week with this issue and then blamed Microsoft (in a rather backhand way by saying there was nothing more they could do from an Apple standpoint). I called up Microsoft, and they in turn blamed Apple. If you ever do find a solution to this problem, please let me know. Apple and Microsoft just aren't coming through with the goods - at least not for me.

Have this problem too. Two different PCs each running win 10. Both rebooted after installation, neither is a work machine, no unusual features. Use Firefox browser - fully up to date. Bit Defender / AVG firus checker also current. Both PCs connect to internet in normal circumstances - just iCloud that doesn't. Microsoft and Apple both US companies - is this a common feature??
