Q: Bootcamp Assistant Fails to Create Partition

Hello,

I am trying to install Windows on my MBP using Bootcamp. I am in the stage where a Windows partition is to be created using Bootcamp Assistant. And it fails to create a partition and does not provide any reasons.

I have attached a snapshot of the message. I appreciate your input.

What is the year/model of your Mac? Can you run Disk Utility and run First Aid and retry? Please disconnect all external storage, except a USB flash drive, if needed by the BC Assistant.

It is a mid-2012 MacBook Pro. And I am running El Capitan. I tried first aid and it doesn't result in anything and the problem persists.

diskutil list
diskutil cs list

By the time I got this message i already had succeeded in debugging the hard drive using the single user routine and get the partitioning done. However, a major issue has come up which I will post under a separate thread.
