Q: iPod 5 Date and Time Won't Change

The iPod has been updated, synced, the settings changed to automatic, then location services turned on.  We've manually set the time zone.  Nothing works.  I manually reset her time and date this evening and it is still showing the time I changed it to 30 minutes ago (9:17 PM) while the time is actually 9:49 PM.  Countless people have posted the same issue but there's no solution showing up.

What to do?

iPod touch, iOS 9.3.5

I have not seen here countless posts with that problem. Can you oprovide links?

    Try:

    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    - Make sure in Settings>Date and Time Calendar is set to Gregorian

    - Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

    - Restore from backup. See:

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem or there is a bug in iOS 10.
