Q: When I receive a call/message Display is not showing up

I have recently updated my Iphone 6+ to 10.0.2 version, but having a problem with that. Whenever I receive a call/message I'm unable to see the display screen. To see the number or message I need to hold/press home button to find out who'z calling or which number is that. Need help to resolve this issue.

Thanks in Advance for the help..

    Hello Krishnagupta,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that after updating your iPhone, you're unable to see the display when receiving a message or call. I can see how this would impact your ability to appropriately respond to calls and messages. I am happy to help.

If you haven't already, I recommend restarting the phone. This can help many unexpected behaviors. Follow the steps below:

    1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
    2. Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
    3. After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If the issue persists, I recommend reinstalling the iOS. This can be done without erasing your data. However, in order to protect your content I urge you to back up first. Use the link below to assist with backing up.
How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Once you've successfully backed up, use the steps below to place the iPhone in recovery mode and set it up again.

    1. Make sure that you're using the latest version of iTunes
    2. If iTunes is already open, close it. Connect your device to your computer and open iTunes. If you don't have a computer, borrow one from a friend or go to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider for help.
    3. While your device is connected, force restart it with these steps:

      • On an iPhone 6s and earlier, iPad, or iPod touch: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. Don't release the buttons when you see the Apple logo. Keep holding both buttons until you see the recovery mode screen.
      •
      • On an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Volume Down buttons at the same time. Don't release the buttons when you see the Apple logo. Keep holding both buttons until you see the recovery mode screen.

    4. When you see the option to Restore or Update, choose Update. iTunes will try to reinstall iOS without erasing your data. Wait while iTunes downloads the software for your device. If the download takes more than 15 minutes and your device exits recovery mode, let the download finish, then repeat these steps.
    5. After the Update or Restore completes, set up your device.

If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

    Have an amazing day!
