Whenever I plug my iPhone 5 into my Mac to recharge and sync, I get this error:
Waiting until later hasn't helped.
This is iTunes 12.5.1.21, Photos 1.5 (370.42.0), MacOS 10.11.6, iOS 10.0.2
With the phone connected to the Mac, if I select the phone in Photos, it shows nothing contained on the phone until I log into the phone. Then the phone's pictures show up on the Mac, but a few minutes later I get the same error from iTunes.

Hi, the link quoted is not current and 'no longer supported'. I also found that the advice doesn't work for me.
Do you have more up to date information please.
I have been having this issues for several months and have been trying to work with Apple support on fixing the solution. After 2 1/2 months there has not been a fix to the issue. Good luck. If you find a solution please let me know.. I am attempting now to delete the iPod photo cache, hope that helps. my next attempt will be uninstall iTunes completely and reinstall it.. It seems Apple just wants everyone to use the club for everything
