    Hello stamatgeorge!

Thanks for bringing your question about a Calendar notification that won't go away to the Apple Support Communities.  I rely on Calendar to keep my life organized and a notification that's not behaving right would be a problem to me too!  I'd love to help you out today.

You've taken some good steps to try to make it go away, by trying to accept, maybe or decline.  Next I'd like you to try to start up the Mac in safe mode to see if the issue persists there.  While safe mode is usually for startup issues it can also fix some errors and prevent third party apps and extensions from loading automatically.

Try safe mode if your Mac doesn‘t finish starting up

If the issue persists in safe mode, then I'd like you to try creating a new user to test the issue there as well.

How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac

If the issue persists in the test user, I'd like you to go to www.iCloud.com to see if you can accept or decline the invitation there.

    Take care.
