All of the sudden, My home button is starting to make an odd, hollow tinny noise when I press it, almost like an echo inside the phone. Anyone else having this issue?
It's definitely not the intended noise apple added to make it seem more like a button.

The Taptic Engine is defective, or loose.Take it to an Apple store for repair or replacement. If you have apple care they will replace it. The Taptic engine is not repairable, but can be replaced. Great care must be taken in replacement in iPhone 7 because or the water tight seal.
I did a restore from recovery mode and put in level one and no more problems but that was just last night so going to give it a couple days.

It's done if 5 times this morning. Loud clicking sound towards middle top of screeen. Called my Rep. Verizon swapping me out. No way this is normal for a plus.
The spring sound? Because it seems to be normal since almost all My friends 7's are doing the sound aswell. You can hear It everytime you click the home button.

No. Not that. It's like a Taptic missfire. Vibrates funny and makes a weird sound towards top of phone. Hardware problem. Appears to be pretty rare. Just got my new plus.

And just for interest is it making a spring sound if you listen to It close to the Ear when pressing ? :)
Nice! Oh okey no spring sound in any of the home button settings? I hear it on setting 3 but not in 2 and 1.

I see what you mean from that vid. I moved it over to 3 and tried it. No spring sound. Interesting. Is yours a plus like mine?
No It's not a plus. But my friends plus makes the sound and also My familys 7's. Thought mine was broken untill i tried theirs aswell hehe.
Yea. I wouldn't worry about that sound because it's consistent and common. Me and a couple other people has a very rare weird hardware problem. You're good.

Had the same problem. Turn your phone off and then on.
I haven't taken it in to Apple. However, please let me know how it goes if you end up taking it in yourself, because I am very interested in seeing how they respond
Did they end up switching it out because of the taptic misfire or was there another reason? What did apple say when you took it to the store? Thank you for the quick reply !
