Q: Macbook Startup/Screen Issue

Hi

Have a serious problem with my mid 2014 MacBook Pro. Started with screen not turning on, just a black screen. After a bit of searching I tried resetting the SMC and PRAM. For a while it worked (with a bit of flickering) on my Windows side on boot camp which implied it wasn't the screen hardware.

By plugging the MacBook into my TV with a HDMI cable I was able to start it up to the login screen. During boot up, as the progress bar goes across the bottom the screen switches to a black screen with white bar as shown in the attached picture.

It will boot in safe mode fine and disk utility doesn't find any errors. Tried re-installing the OS in recovery mode which made no difference. Still nothing showing on the MacBook screen, just the backlight turning on....

Can anyone suggest anything?
