What is Parallel ? Would I have to buy an external drive and then install this ? Is this easy to do as I'm not great on computers and are they expensive ?
Install Windows on your Apple computer then install any program that works in Windows. Windows can be installed using Boot Camp Assistant or using a virtual machine like Parallels, Fusion, or VirtualBox.
Boot Camp Assistant comes with OSX. It is already on your computer. Boot Camp allows you to install and boot into Windows natively. You either boot into Windows or you boot into OSX when starting up your computer.
Virtual machines allow you to install and run Windows from and concurrently with OSX. These are third party apps. VirtualBox is free.
Regardless how you install Windows you need to buy Windows as well as the apps you plan to run in Windows.
If you do not feel comfortable installing Windows "I am not really a computer buff." find someone to help you. Installing Windows is not a simple task. Installing Windows in a virtual machine is easier than installing Windows with Boot Camp Assistant.
