Q: Bootcamp Erased by Windows, Now No More Mac Boot
Hello,
For a couple of days I was struggling with Microsoft and then Bootcamp to download and install a copy of Windows 7. Bootcamp was unable to partition my drive and I finally was able to get it partitioned by going through the single user restart procedure.
After the partition was created Bootcamp proceeded with installing Windows. Upon launch, Windows complaint that the bootcamp partition I had selected for it was not formatted in FATS and it refused to install. I let Windows format that partition.
After installation I notice that none of the other drives are visible anymore. And I am not able to restart in the Mac partition.
is there any way to recover from this? Windows isn't even able to get online since it does not have the driver that it needs to use my wireless router. I know I can hard wire it, but for now I need to know if my Mac drives are lost for ever or if there is a way to recover them and boot from them.
I Don't ven know how to start from scratch anymore either.
one thing that I just remembered is that while still on Maverick, I replaced the internal drive with an SSD and I can boot from that drive and maybe do something from there. I got to try that.
MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.2), Late 2012 Model
