Thanks for the reply. Not sure I know what you mean. I did download the movies completely. When I open iTunes they appear in the "Rented" section of iTunes, but the spinning ball prevents me from doing anything. Other thoughts?

This is presuming the OP is watching it on a mobile device, but the OP says it is being watched with "iTunes", i.e., on a computer.

Do you mean this literally? Once the plane has touched down and is taxiing to the terminal the movie will play? Or do you mean back home? I have zero experience with movie rentals but I am wondering if you need to start watching the rental someplace where iTunes can get a wi-fi connection? That wouldn't necessarily be the second the wheels touch the ground or even in a terminal.

You're right. To be specific, it works fine when I am back home, but it should work in the air without wi-fi. All the research I have done confirms this. I honestly thought when I posted this there would be someone who said "oh yeah, I know what's going on, you gotta turn this off or set this to that. Obviously not. The real bummer is, I won't know if I have solved the problem until I get back in the air!
Thanks for the reply. I f you have any more thoughts, I'd be glad to hear them.
