Iphone SE poor signal/3g reception

I just bought the iPhone SE and I find that the signal reception and 3g seems very poor compare to my older iphone 4s even when teying to use 3g browsing the internet, I have exchanged it once already and same issue. My 4s would work in my basement but the SE forget it just loads. Are the SE antennas made poor ? My phone provider is koodo

I have been through 5 months of calling Apple Support to complain about people who call me constantly complaining about my voice breaking when the speak to me over my iPhone SE bought in June 2016. The phone has to be held horizontally across the face to improve the voice quality. I have been to Apple service centre 3 times to submit my phone but was taken aside and told there is no solution to the problem and even if I submit the handset it will be returned as having no hardware problem. Apple Support then asked me to change the SIM. I did that. Then they asked me to change the mobile operator from Vodafone to Airtel and I almost did when I found out that a friend using iPhone SE has similar problems with it and she thought her mobile operator Airtel. I informed her that people around the world are facing the same problem with iPhone SE which in all likelihood has an antenna problem. But Apple is ignoring the issue since it's unlikely to build up because the users will never be able to compare their experiences with other SE users since they always think its their fault for having the wrong mobile operator or being in an area with weak mobile signals. Hope Apple takes up the issue else it will lose customers. I see no point in getting another iPhone having lost my faith in the product and Apple support that has come across as incompetent and powerless.
