iTunes search doesn't come up

Question

iTunes search doesn't come up

This is a new one to me(been an iOS user since 2009); but the App Store works fine-except the search tab. I've done the usual common issues-reboot and hard reboot, signed out of iTunes and even deleted some apps. Still the issue occurs.

I'm running the latest iOS on both my iPhone 6 plus and iPad Air 2; so it's not a total lockout of the App Store just a mild annoyance of searching for app.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks ahead of time.

Hello professionalbum,

If I understand correctly it sounds like there's something not working quite right with the Search tab of the iTunes Store app. You've done a great set of troubleshooting already, and next I would suggest quitting the iTunes app:

Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Then restart the phone one more time and try again.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If the issue persists next we would backup your phone to iTunes:

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Then use the following article to restore the iPhone to factory defaults. Once it is, test the iTunes Store app again to make sure it is working as expected.

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

Once that is confirmed, use this article to restore your backup to your phone and verify that it is still functioning correctly:

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup

Want to thank you for the response but this DID NOT fix the issue; there are even more people than I(via twitter) that are experiencing this. At least I exhausted every possibility now.

I have the same issue. I tried on my iPhone and iPad Pro. The same issue happens for both devices. If I switch with other's apple id, there is no such issue happened. if I switch back the apple id, the same issue still remained. I have try more than dozen time. Please help.

I did speak to a Apple Care senior advisor today and they are aware of the issue and they don't have a resolution at this time. She stated that it is escalated and i would be informed at a later date if and when an update or whatever comes.

So...it's wait until an update then unfortunately. Wish I had better news to pass along.
