Q: wifi connection

Having issues with my iPad Air, connecting to wifi. When I check in settings it shows the tick next to my router but am unable to connect to the internet.

 

I have tried the network reset option but this did not solve the issue, I have tried to do a full reset but am unable to continue with setup as it is unable to connect to the wifi.

 

I have tried to connect this using personal hot spot from my iPhone and was able to make a connection and access the internet and use apps before doing full reset, but as signal strength was not very good would allow me to complete setup using this method.

 

This was updated to IOS 10.0.2 last weekend, the only known issue I have with the device is that the home button is broken.

 

Any ideas on how to restore / complete setup and solve issue would be welcomed. This has not been backed up via i Tunes only via the cloud.
