Nvidia kernel driver error Windows 7 64 bit

Hey all.

Im running Win 7 on a 2010, 15 MBP osx 10.6.8. My problem is that my screen briefly goes black and comes back to normal. This happens when I try to open Firefox or Explorer (and the programs stop working). I use the Win partition for music making and never experience this problem with any of my DAWs. Im usually never online on bootcamp, but yesterday I bought some new software from a company called Native Instruments, which requires a program they provide, called Native Access, to download and register my product. Unfortunately this Native Access program is making my machine behave the same way as with Firefox and Explorer, which makes it impossible for me to download and register:/ Screen goes dark and comes back to normal (and the program stops working and I need to reboot to open it, only to experience the same error again). I havent got a clue about what I should do, and im terrified bout installing a new graphics driver and mess something up, as I got a loads of important projects going on. I already tried connecting the machine to my router with a cable instead of using airport (since all programs causing with behaviour tries to go online). I also tried connecting another screen but without any luck. Hope someone can help.

Thanks

MacBook Pro, null

Can you boot into Windows and check Device Manager for any unknown devices? Please also post the nVidia driver version.

You can use Brigadier from the OSX side (since SL BC Assistant may not be able to provide the latest BC5 drivers). It is available at https://github.com/timsutton/brigadier . If you have BC5 Assistant on another Mac, then you can also get the latest BC5 drivers from Install Windows 7 and earlier on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support .

@Loner T, thank you very much for your reply. My MBP is a mid 2010, 2.5.3 ghz intel core i5, 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3 running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 with Windows 7 64 bit on bootcamp. Windows / bootcamp are both ´unreliable´, which makes me think, that I do not want to create a restore point. The error I described has been happening since day 1 I got bootcamp up and running, but since I never go online on the Win partition and havent had the need to until now, its only just become a serious problem. Why is it that I only experience this problem with programs like Firefox, Explorer and now Native Instruments Access? Has it something to do with them trying to connect to the internet, and how is this related to the Nvidia driver?
