Q: Sierra mail sort order - how ?
I have just updated my Mac Mini to OS 10.12, and use folders within Mail to sort incoming mail under various headings, like "receipts" "purchases" "friends", etc. in order of date received.
Under Sierra I seem to have lost this filing order - how do I get it back ? There does not seem to be a date-received column to click the heading of, so as to re-order that folder's contents back to descending date order, or indeed, any date order ? The headings now are only "from" and "subject" but nothing else - I'm having to look thru hundreds of emails to find the most recent ones - help, please !

Go to
Mail > Preferences... > Viewing
Check the last item "Show most recent message at the top"
And you're done. Cheers!
