I ask this question with a bit of ignorance on API interfacing. However, given the number of devices that are cropping up that are not HomeKit compatible (in my case, Rheem WIFI water heaters), I'm wondering if there might not be some method to interface the two APIs; that is, if they are exposed or even documented (I am not sure about Rheem). Even some basic functionality would be useful.
Anyone run into a scenario like this. I also wonder if a more generic API might be in order, to tie all these together somehow.
