Q: Open file in Safari: not refresh files..

macOS 10.12, Safari - 10.0

Situation:

Need to upload file in Safari.

Few files on desktop or folders..

If I create new file, rename files, going to safari, press to select files for upload, finder window show old files... I not seen 5 minutes ago and 5 sec ago files renamed or saved in folder or on the desktop...

I remove one of files in window opened from Safari, after - remove files, I can see all new renamed or adds files.. Why??

I try to use CHROME browser.  Chrome - work fine, no problem.

As I understand its bug of Safari:  when open files in Safari for upload - files at folder or desktop not refreshing! Only when I do anything with files from this safari window (as delete one of files).

MacBook Pro, macOS Sierra (10.12), Safaro 10.0

    Hi there stekmusic!

Welcome to Apple Support Communities! I'm understanding from your post that you have files you need to upload through Safari on your MacBook Pro on macOS Sierra but they're not being located after you create or rename the file. I'll be glad to help.

macOS Sierra: Quit apps -- In the menu bar (OS X El Capitan: menu bar), when the app is active, choose App Name > Quit App. For example, choose Safari > Quit Safari. Re-open it again while holding down the Shift key. This basically opens Safari in safe mode to ensure it opens correctly.

Try safe mode if your Mac doesn‘t finish starting up -- Start your MacBook Pro in safe mode and test. Starting in safe mode is a great way to make sure everything's starting up correctly. Afterwards, restart your Mac normally and test here as well.

Rebuild the Spotlight index on your Mac -- Since Safari isn't showing anything but the old items on your Mac, use this article to rebuild the Spotlight index.

Thanks again and have a good day!
