I'm using an iPad Air 2, running iOS 10.0.2, and all of my apps are set to automatically update. I really want to acess the new Facebook Marketplace, but the Marketplace icon, which is supposed to be showing up on the app still isn't there.

I figured out if you delete the FB Messenger app then the Marketplace icon/feature returns. For some reason having Messenger on the iPhone (maybe iPad too) changes the configuration of the FB app.

For your app to properly update, then Facebook would have to have updated their app in the App Store. According to the App Store, they have version 65 available, and it was updated on September 29. It does not make any mention of adding Marketplace compatibility or functionality. Again, a question you need to address to Facebook.
I just discovered a same problem, but at the moment my guess is that the iPad app and iPhone app are different and the iPad doesn't have it. It's a FB problem. But it's still pretty new, so I think we have to wait.
We all know it's not an apple app but most all apple people use Facebook and we are trying to find out if other Apple users have the same problem and how to get it. I also want to get Facebook marketplace on my page but I don't see anyway to get it. I have the most up to date version of FB per the App store. Why do some have it and some don't. I don't have it on both my iPad air nor my iPhone 6. I merely want it because I am getting messages from people looking to buy stuff I posted a while ago that I no longer have and merely want to find my original ad and delete it. I can find no way to find my original posting that people are seeing on FB marketplace. Very frustrating. I simply just want to delete the ad! And asking at an Apple forum is not out of line because usually most of us Apple users are pretty smart!

I have no idea, God that sounds stupid I know. I listed some items to sell via from an ad I saw on the net and listed the stuff via my PC and for the last 2 weeks have been trying to find where the items are, driving me nuts, because I've had ppl msg me. Asked a friend last night and she showed me the icon on the iPhone but its not on the iPad app

I did see a marketplace link in facebook on my iMac, but some functionality was different though.
Ask Facebook. That's not an Apple product or service.
I know that, but I have a friend who uses a mobile Android device who can access the new Facebook Marketplace-so if my apps are not properly updating, then this partly an Apple issue.
I was having the same problem. The solution is...
Go to your settings, under location service, facebook, turn on the option while using the app.
Please see the picture attached. Immediately you will the marketplace icon appearing on your fb page.
The android and iOS apps are NOT identical.
Regardless, I'm sure that people can update them both. And I haven't seen any news stories about the Facebook Marketplace app not being available for iOS.
Thanks for the information. I do have version 65, I did let Facebook know about this issue. Unless they get back to me, I'll just have wait until the Facebook updates their iOS app. Thanks again!
