Episode images not appearing in iTunes

I've just had my podcast approved by iTunes, but I'm not seeing my episode image. I have an image for the episode item in my feed and it's at least the right dimensions, but still nothing. So, I'm not sure if the tag in my feed is wrong or something wrong with my image.

Note that when I used my native feed to test subscribing in iTunes, I had this same problem, so it's not an issue with store, but rather my feed and/or image.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

The iTunes Store does not display the image in the episode 'itunes:image'tag, except possibly very small when Search results bring up individual episodes (which it doesn't currently in your case).

When subscribing in the iTunes application the 'itunes:image' tag is not used. In order to have an episode image appear it has to be actually embedded in the episode media file. You have done this, and the image shows correctly - you have to start playing the episode before it will appear, which it does, very small, in the top bar. Command-clicking this (Mac) will open a larger version. All that is working correctly. AFAIK episode images do not appear at all in the Podcasts app.

Thanks. I updated the feed after I posted this question with an audio file with the image embedded (like you said) and that seems to have done the trick. Wishing iTunes would be a little more clear about this being the process for adding images.
