Imac, multiple operating systems???

I partitioned my hard drive and was running El Capitan and Sierra. I thought I would also use bootcamp to install windows 10 and maybe windows 7 and possibly Linux. I am finding that it would not let me install windows 10 if my hard drive was partitioned. so I formatted the drive installed El Capitan and now it allowed windows 10. Is it possible to ad others when your drive is partitioned?????

Yes, but it depends on your Mac year/model and Windows version. It requires manual partitioning and bypassing BC Assistant.

If you use Boot Camp to create the Windows volume, then you cannot install another partition on the drive. If you wish to install multiple OSes on one drive then you will need to use a boot manager like The rEFInd Boot Manager - Roderick W. Smith.
