Q: 10.1.0

I can not get my App store to open on my Mac Book Pro. So help desk has said lets re update all the way back to os 10.1.0 ... I can not download any without it. Super irritating. I have 10.8.5 need 10.9 or higher. HELP!!!

Download OS X Mountain Lion Update v10.8.5 (Combo)

Literally going back to 10.1 is a complete waste of time, if you could even find it.

10.6.8 is the first MacOS to have the Mac App store available, and 10.6.3 is the last "Full Retail" DVD available. If you can get the DVD installed Software Update can bring you up to 10.6.8 (takes multiple passes to do so).

Any later version you have should give you access to the Mac App Store.
