I see that your iPhone and iPad are both intermittently not responding to your touch correctly and experiencing some warmer than normal temperatures. I'd like to help you with these issues.
To address the touch responsiveness issue, please follow these steps on both devices:
Check your touchscreen
Make sure that your hands are clean and dry, then try these steps:
- If you have a case or screen protector on your device, try removing it.
- Clean the screen with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
- Unplug your device.
- Restart your device. If you can't restart it, you can force restart your device.
If your touchscreen still doesn't respond like it should, contact Apple Support or take your device to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider.

To address your issue regarding excess warmth, take a look at the following information we have published on this subject:
Your device might get warm
When you use the device or charge the battery, the device might get warm. You might notice that your device feels warmer in these situations:
- When you set up your device the first time
- When you restore from a backup
- When apps reindex or reanalyze data, like Photos tagging for faces, places, or keywords after a software update
These conditions are normal, and your device will return to a regular temperature when complete.
Here are some of the higher ambient-temperature conditions and activities that might cause the device to change performance and behavior:
- Leaving the device in a car on a hot day.
- Leaving the device in direct sunlight for an extended period of time.
- Using certain features in hot conditions or direct sunlight for an extended period of time, such as GPS tracking or navigation in a car, or playing a graphics-intensive game.
