how can I download new version of iwork

Downloading of applications is done through the Mac App Store. The newest versions of the iWork apps require Sierra, So you will have to update your operating system to Sierra first if you've not already done so. Upgrading to sierra is also done through the Mac App Store.

So, it would help to know what version of OS X you are using and what version of Pages you are using.

Similar question. Installed Sierra 10.11.6 on Mac a few days ago, all OK so far. But whenever open Pages 5.6.2, suggests going to App store and download Updates. Trying only Pages for now, but the wheel has been going round and round for A. Long. Time. No indication of progress...not sure anything is happening. At this rate, all three iwork parts will take the whole day. How many hours before I should give up on a Pages update? Thank you for any suggestions.

OSX 10.11.6 is El Capitan, not Sierra which is MacOS 10.12.

You can not download Pages 6 unless you have first installed Sierra.

Will try again with Sierra.

I have Pages v6 on macOS Sierra, and it is essentially Pages v5.6.2, if you discount the beta collaboration features. The missing exported PDF hyperlink on TOC page numbers has been fixed. Other than that, it is business as usual, a yawner release.
