Q: Online streaming of videos no longer works

After updating to Safari 10 I can't watch online videos anymore. They are just frozen pictures, everything else on page is working just not the video.

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2009), OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

Try going to Safari/Preferences/Extensions and disable all extensions. Quit Safari, reopen, and see if the website will now load. If so, enable extensions one or two at a time until you find which extension is causing the problem.

    Depending on how the video works, I imagine it's just because an extension is disabled.  Go to Safari in the top left of your screen --> preferences --> security --> allow plug-ins should be checked --> plug-in settings.  Review those settings and see if adobe flash or another plug-in is disabled.
