I understand that, after updating to iOS 10.0.2, your iPad no longer successfully connects to your Mac. This is because iOS 10 requires iTunes 12.5.1, which requires Mac OS X 10.9.5 or later to be installed. One option here would be to upgrade to Mac OS X El Capitan, or use iCloud to access your documents.
Pages for iOS (iPad): Use iCloud with Pages
Upgrade to OS X El Capitan

Oct 7, 2016 2:24 AM in response to Allen Aby aspensky135,Thank for your input, but this is not the answer I'm looking for. iOS 9 version worked just fine, and iOS 10 has no warning telling us it will not support OS 10.7.5 - I could have stayed with iOS 9 not to upgrade to 10!
I have 2TB of storage now, not sure if I want to buy a new Mac Pro that only comes with 1TB of storage.
My 2008 Mac Pro cannot be upgraded to any higher OS X than 10.7.5. This means Apple abandons whoever is using the OS X Lion, won't even consider a work around in newer iOS 10 updates. How sad!
