Activity app - Getting exercise credit for low-intensity activity

Apple says that you are awarded exercise credit in the Activity app for movement that meets or exceeds a brisk walk. I'm finding that my Exercise ring is filling up even if I am just walking normally around the office or home, well below what could be described as "brisk." Today I received 10 minutes of exercise credit even though I didn't really exercise at all. Kind of frustrating since it makes me question the accuracy and usefulness of the Apple Watch as a fitness tracker. Anyone else getting exercise credit too easily?

Hi

The definition of a brisk walk varies from person to person and depends on your personal information.

To check that this is accurate - and to update it over time:

On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > Health > Edit - tap and adjust items, then tap on Done.

Calibrating your watch improves the accuracy of estimations made by Activity app and Workout app. More information and instructions for calibrating your watch are available via the support article linked below. This also includes instructions for resetting your existing calibration data and starting afresh.
