Oct 6, 2016 5:20 PM in response to Jerry Dammersby braden85,Hi Jerry,
Thanks for posting your questions here in the Apple Support Community. I see that you're curious about viewing your Memories on your Mac. I'm happy to help answer your questions.
It looks like it's not possible to view Memory movies from a Mac. Take a look at the following information:
Memory movies only work on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple TV. You won't see Memory movies on your Mac.
To answer your question about sharing Memories, take a look at this information:
Save and share your favorite memories
Want to save a memory for later? Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap or click Add to Favorite Memories. You'll find it in the Favorite Memories album of your Photos app. If you decide that you don't want to save a Memory anymore, tap or click Remove from Favorite Memories.
When you add a Memory to your Favorites, you preserve it and keep it from going away when Photos creates new Memories.
You can also share your unforgettable experiences with friends and family. On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, you can share Memory movies just like you would share any other video. Play a Memory movie, then tap on it to show the editing and sharing options. Tap
and choose to share the movie via Messages, Mail, iCloud Photo Sharing, Facebook, YouTube, and more.On your Mac, you can share the photos and videos that are contained in a Memory. Click
to share through Mail, Messages, iCloud Photo Sharing, Facebook, and more.
You'll want to make sure that you follow these steps for Memories to be synced between your devices:
Enjoy your Memories in Photos - Apple SupportBefore you begin
Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to iOS 10 or later and your Mac to macOS Sierra or later.
If you want to get the same Memories on all of your Apple devices:
- Set up iCloud on all of your devices.
- Sign in to iCloud with the same Apple ID on all of your devices.
- Turn on iCloud Photo Library on all of your devices that you want to use with Memories.
- Update your Apple TV (4th generation) to tvOS 10 or later.
Cheers! -
Oct 7, 2016 1:50 AM in response to braden85by Jerry Dammers,Thanks for your response - are you from Apple? I've not seen the phrase "Community Specialist" before. If so, this is the first time I've seen a response from Apple on these forums.
It's disappointing there is no movie functionality for Memories on my Mac. Hence it's not really any different to creating an album or, at best, Photos is predicting what albums I might like to create. In contrast, I find the movies of Memories on my iOS devices a useful addition as it's something I wouldn't otherwise find the time to do.
On your point about syncing Memories between iOS devices, does this mean that if I have iCloud Photo Library activated Memories movies are sync'd but if I don't have ICPL the Memories movies aren't sync'd? (if that's right then presumably I'll have to sync an album from my Mac to my iOS devices and then create the Memories movie locally on each iOS device, which would be a long work round)

Oct 7, 2016 7:06 AM in response to Jerry Dammersby LarryHN,Community Specialists are Apple employees
They are not here to take feedback (although they probably do( )ut to help people when their questions are not answered for over a day
If you are not using ICLP then nothing syncs between devices - any other transfer is a describe single time transfer not a sync
you can provide comments or feedback directly to Apple using the feedback form - http://www.apple.com/feedback/

Oct 7, 2016 8:54 AM in response to Jerry Dammersby léonie,★HelpfulThe Memory starts to play but isn't full screen.
This might be a bug. When I click the ▶︎ button in the toolbar while viewing a memory, the slideshow controls open and I an view the memory fullscreen. But to save it as a video, I have to select all photos and create a slideshow project.
