Q: Unable to change settings for overlapping midi regions

Hi folks

Trying to change my project settings so that my midi regions overlap or merge.

However, when I select the different options in project settings - the setting won't even change after selecting it. All default to replace & I can't change anything...

Any ideas?

IMAGE 1 - able to select options but as soon as I click on it it reverts back... (see image 2)

Bizarre. Since nobody has had a suggestion yet I'll propose eliminating some more outlandish factors:

    - Check the read-write permissions for the project folder you are working in, and where Logic sits in. Do you have full access?

    - Detach external Audio/MIDI interfaces, reboot, and start Logic without external inputs/connections

Does the same issue occur for Audio tracks settings too?

    Hi

Sounds like you have the Replace button in the Control Bar enabled.

In the LCD display choose the Custom layout, and disable the Replace button
