Flash export for web

Can I use Flash Macromedia to export a movie for video streaming on the web. To date I have been exporting directly to WMF from FCP but know flash is better. I have Flash Macromedia, I have just never used it so am not aware of the capabilities. If I can do I import .mov from FCP then export to .SWF?
