Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Community! I understand you're unable to use Pages after updating your iPad to iOS 10.0.2. I use Pages frequently, so I can understand how this can be a concern. I'm happy to offer some help.
I recommend to start by closing out of the Pages app, then restart the iPhone.
Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you're still having trouble after that, you'll want to make sure that the Pages app is up to date by going to the App Store, then tapping Updates at the bottom right. You can also try deleting the Pages app, then reinstalling it. If you're using iCloud Drive for your documents and data, your Pages documents should be stored with your iCloud account. You can find the info on how to backup the Pages data here:
Safely store Pages, Numbers, or Keynote files that are on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Delete and reinstall the app
- Tap and hold the app until it jiggles.
- Tap the x on the app.
- Press the Home button.
- Go to the App Store and download the app again.
- Wait for the app to download, then open it from the Home screen.
If an app you installed unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open
Take care. -
