Can I override the embedded sim on iPad pro 9.7?

Good afternoon

I'm looking to purchase the ipad pro 9.7in and have seen that it comes with an embedded sim.

Being in the UK, and having no plans to take the ipad to another country - am I correct in saying this is locked to an EE plan?

If that's the case, will inserting a sim from a different carrier override the EE side? I am looking at their plans and I can find better deals elsewhere so don't want to be forced to use EE.

I appreciate any help, I can't really find much on the internet about it.

thanks for your reply.

That is what I need clarification on, it says about EE but then says about outside the UK. I won't be making any plans to use this iPad outside of the UK.

As long as I can put in another sim from a different carrier which overrides EE I will happily purchase it.

The iPad being locked to EE should only apply if you purchase the iPad directly from an EE retail location.

Hi

If you get an iPad from a network provider it will be locked to that provider

If you buy from apple / John Lewis it will be network free.

I have a WiFi only ipad & i use a mifi dongle it can run up to 10 devices

See them at EE shop or you can buy Sim free on Amazon .
