Photos in the Camera Roll on “iPhone” cannot be viewed or imported because the iPhone is locked with a passcode

iPhone 6+ updated to 10.0.0.2 and now getting the error, Photos in the Camera Roll on “iPhone” cannot be viewed or imported because the iPhone is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the iPhone to view and import them.

No solutions offered so far are working. Guess I’ll have to wait for bug fix release from Apple… 😟

I'm having this problem too and described it on another thread Photos in the Camera Roll on "iPhone" cannot be viewed or imported because the iPhone is locked with a passcode Basically, I've updated software, turned off icloud, signed out and back in to itunes from my iphone, reseting location and privacy as well as networks. This affects my computer recognizing my iphone in a finder folder, and syncing itunes & iphoto. I haven't tried the wondershare app because I don't want to pay for another service. Has anyone found another solution they can offer?

"Photos in the Camera Roll on "iPhone" cannot be viewed or imported because the iPhone is locked with a passcode."

Hi, all and thanks for reading.

I have a problem, and cannot get my photos off my iPhone, ... using iPhoto 08, on my Mac OS X 10.6.8.

I normally download my photo's in the iPhone 5, camera roll, using iPhoto 08, and usb plugged into MAC.

All of a sudden my iPhoto 08 is blocked by iPhone password.?

I get this message.

"Photos in the Camera Roll on "iPhone" cannot be viewed or imported because the iPhone is locked with a passcode."

"You must enter your passcode on the iPhone to view and import them."

I am thinking it may be since my new iphone update a few weeks ago ... I think ... but not sure.

Worked perfectly a few weeks ago, and pretty sure did not update any mac programs, just iPhone.

Photos in the Camera Roll on "iPhone" cannot be viewed in iPhoto, or imported because the iPhone is locked with a passcode.

So I unlock the iPhone, same message.

So I removed my iPhone lock. Restarted Mac, plugged in, opened iPhoto, and got the same message.

I read online numerous fixes, including the "trust a computer", but none work.

One was to open itunes. But when I open iTunes, I now ALSO get a message ... iTunes could not connect to the iPhone “iPhone” because an invalid response was received from the device.

Apple advice is to make sure I have the latest version, this is the problem, but I have the latest version. 11.4.

I have a Mac OS X 10.6.8 and a iPhone 5. … iPhoto 08. I cannot update to a newer system, or programs for numerous reasons. Please don't recommend.

Any help appreciated.

A similar problem. I have an iPhone 5 which was recently upgraded to iOS 10.0.2 . This operates in conjunction with an old Macbook running 10.6.3. Since upgrading to 10.0.2 . Since the upgrade of iOS I cannot download photo from the iPhone to iPhotos on the Macbook. On the iPhone a message comes up "Trust This Computer? Your settings and data will be accessible from this computer when connected" - with option of "Trust" and "Don't Trust". Pressing "Trust" achieves nothing. Meantime on the Macbook a message from iPhotos opens "Photos in the Camera Roll on theiPhone cannot be viewed or imported because the iPhone is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the iPhone to view and import them." Entering the passcode on the iPhone has no effect. Have tried turning off the passcode - no effect: restarting the iPhone - no effect; changing USB port - no effect; restarting the Mcbook - no effect; tried shouting too - no effect.

This has only happened after upgrading to 10.0.2. Is there a bug in the new software - or is it incompatible with the iPhone 5?

If there is a bug is Apple prepapring a fix?

Instead of attacking the only person that's given any half decent solution to this issue, why dont you offer a solution?

If it solves the problem how is it an unnecessary app? Apple giving no solutions, other than forcing us to upgrade all our hardware and software to make use of their latest updates and apps!

Why must they tell you how much it costs? When you go and check it out you can see for yourself what it costs?

How is the app ripping off other developers?

There are three other solutions posted in this thread.

It's a courtesy on the forum to warn people of the consequences of whatever 'solution' you offer - such as if you will lose data, or if there is a cost. Google Wondershare sometime. They're a Chinese outfit that trade under different names (why?) selling these kinds of apps. The apps are frequently repackaged open source apps, and they have a patchy record on business practices, to say the least. For instance

http://www.macworld.com/article/1153685/web-apps/speaking-spammers.html

One of the tactics of these companies is to confuse potential customers by offering dozens of versions of the same tool under just as many dozens of brands. To add to the confusion (or deception) they’re sometimes priced differently. For example, one of these parent companies, Wondershare, has at least two affiliate brands—iSkySoft and Aimersoft. Much the same tool is selling under three different names—iSkysoft DVD Ripper, Wondershare DVD Ripper, and Aimersoft DVD Ripper. The iSkysoft and Aimersoft versions each cost $39. But the Wondershare version is priced $6 more at $45.

or another:

Wondershare has become notorious for burying crapware/adware in their downloads. It appears that the malware is contained within a file called WSHelper.exe, and is hidden within whatever files you download from Wondershare. It triggers, amongst other things, desktop notifications with advertising. This is known to continue even after the downloaded program has been uninstalled

They are also frequent spammers of this forum - typically this takes the form of a new poster, three posts, all for one of their apps, and frequently opening old thread to wedge them in there.
