My Vista PC is running iTunes Ver. 12.1.3.6 is this current?

Just ran a check for updates in preparation for updating my iPad to "IOS 10", and I'm told that my version (12.1.3.6) is the current version of iTunes.

Can't remember when I updated to this but I'm pretty sure it was over a year ago!

Googling for the latest version shows it's up to 12.5.1 😮

Dependent upon the response, I might have more questions! 😝

Thanks.

Thanks for that, I had a vague suspicion that my old workhorse was getting a bit too long in the tooth!

In an effort to embrace the future, as far as that is possible with Windows, I have invested in some more modern kit, a gaming laptop running "Windows 10 Home" build 1607, and a self build NUC kit running "Windows 10 Pro" also, build 1607.

Presumably these two machines would be capable of running the latest version (12.5.1).

If that is so, can I install iTunes on either or both of these new machines whilst continuing to use ver. 12.1.3.6 on my Vista PC?

All iTunes versions should recognize your iPad and iPod without problems, but you will have different iTunes libraries on each computer. So it would be more convenient if you sync your devices to one computer (IMHO). Or you can use Home Sharing to have the same contents on all devices.
