mouse click opens dashboard

Question

mouse click opens dashboard

sometimes when I click on my trackpad it goes to Dashboard which is annoying. I have tried it with a USB mouse and the same thing happens. I recently upgraded to Sierra.

iMac 15 FP, 12 Powerbook, Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.3.7)

Hello Dave,

If you are using the original magic trackpad or mouse version 1 with Sierra, that is the most likely reason. For the newer OSs from El Capitan and upwards you will need the Magic trackpad or Mouse version 2 to get full functionality.
