Apple TVWWorks for me but it may not work for you. Some people have had problem, especially if they had a lot of cruft built up in their OS. Of course I didn't have a problem with El Capitan either

Exactly what was the problem?
And why upgrade mid project?

<raising hand> me.
Had a cosmetic problem/UI flaw, trashed prefs, solved.
No TC-window glitch, no issues with my 3rd party add-ons, no trouble yet.
No issues with ElCap.
Never updated midway a project - why should one do that??

Oct 7, 2016 4:46 AM in response to Grandma's Chicken Pantsby BenB,If you're referring to "Beats" posting a job for a PPro editor, that was "Beats" not Apple. Beats at the time was a separate entity operating under the Apple umbrella, and nothing but executive management was shared between the two.
I've been production television educational and reality shows in El Capitan and love it.
No, the pro apps are reported to have many cosmetic and more serious issues in Sierra. I have a few clients who can't launch FCPX at all in Sierra, so there's more than just cosmetic issues. Wait until the Sierra updates come out. It may be as simple as a Pro Video Support package update, or it may be actual application updates. Wait for all your plugins to update, as well. Should only be a few weeks at most, if past track record holds up.
If you're having issues with El Capitan, your system has problems, that could very well carry over to Sierra. I'd get those issues solved before upgrading anything.

Oct 12, 2016 8:42 AM in response to Grandma's Chicken Pantsby Nanoutka,Well i did the mistake to update to Sierra and i am not happy about it. The FCPX started to act slower than it was before and of course that irritates me. The actions you take like cutting, moving the sound bar etc are having a slight delay witch is a lil annoying mostly when you work with seconds and frames.
If i would be you i would wait a little until Apple comes with an update to fix this

Mac OS XI had problems at first but did what others have said.... deleting FCP preferences (cmd.+Option at FCP Launch) and deleting all traces of FX Factory Pro 5.x Plugins... (they're crap looking anyway). To do this:
1) I do a Command+F in the Finder... click the "+" sign and choose to "include system files"
2) Type "FX Factory" in the search bar and delete the enclosing Folder(s) that show up in the results.
(shown below I already did this, so this is showing only email messages left after the search)
3) I also used Onyx 3.2.0 to clean up my system after the Sierra install. FCP 10.2.3 working great now.
