Cannot get photos from my Canon eos7d

Since changing to Sierra I cannot get my iMac to download pictures from my canon eos 7d.

I even tried taking them direct using a card reader, but it doesn't acknowledge the readers existence.

iMac, macOS Sierra (10.12), imac 21.5 inch Sierra

Hi canoesailor,

Thanks for upgrading to mac OS Sierra! It looks like your Canon camera is no longer being detected by your Mac. If you have not done so already, try looking in your Finder app to see if the camera comes up under the "Devices" category. If you do not see it in Finder, try visiting the Canon support page for the latest utility driver that should assist with the communication between your Mac and the camera.

Updating the device drivers maybe necessary after upgrading macOS. This should resolve the issue your re having with your camera. Thanks for using Apple Support Communities to post your question. Have a nice day.
