Q: Itunes 12.5 not taking home movies artwork

With iTunes 12.5 I am unable to add artwork in the home movie section. It will say it accepts but then revert back to the movie clip as the artwork. Has anyone else seen this issue? any possible solutions? I have already tried command-i, verified the artwork is not a .wav file, tried clearing album name(as i seen suggested, but when i close window the name just reappears and no artwork present), and restarting iTunes. The files are all located on a Drobo 5n but i moved the artwork to the Mac Mini HD and still it wasn't accepted and changed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mac mini, macOS Sierra (10.12)

I have exactly the same issue.  After the last upgrade to my system 10.9.5 and all of a sudden my artwork wort stay with any movies.  So annoying, this version of iTunes is so clunky and difficult to navigate.  I keep losing my preferences   on how I view my files as well.
